#photoadayJune Day 10: Best Bit of Your Weekend —- Clockwise: Started our Religions Tour of KC with a Greek Orthodox Christian service, which just so happened to be followed by a Greek festival with delicious Greek food. 2) Saw Next to Normal at the Kauffman Center. Brilliant musical in an amazing building. 3) Started work on a new script after an unexpected monthlong hiatus from my creative endeavors. 4) PB&J cupcake to represent a bunch of good food I should not have eaten but did anyway.

Script planning. Feels good & awful at the same time. Still using my notes from Michael Arndt’s Great Endings panel at last year’s Austin Film Festival. #amwriting #coffee #writing #starbucks #morning #myviewtoday (Taken with Instagram)

#photoadayApril - Shadow

"She had her reasons. In short, it had seen too much. Always present, always following her, never revealing its motives. To her surprise, she didn’t feel a thing when she cut it loose, and she didn’t waste time looking back."

"Sometimes she wondered, given a Pompeii-like situation or a sudden robot, alien or zombie apocalypse, what the survivors might infer from the Chipotle sacks (in the double digits last she counted) & Starbucks cups (she’d stopped counting those long ago) littering her abode. But such thoughts never lasted beyond the first taste." (Taken with instagram)

#photoadayApril - Tiny

"The cost of a fortune from the wizened, turban-wearing woman in Covent Garden is not expensive, but it does require exact change. To be told you will have two children, are good with money, but passive & a fish out of water in your own life, you must break the twenty-pound note you’ve carried with you since the morning you left home. You will trade it for some marbles & the nagging feeling that something must change." (Taken with instagram)

"He’d always told himself he’d do anything to make her happy. He stumbled across the threshold where that truth turned into a lie. It was the 17th instagram shot." (Taken with instagram)

"With each stroke of her paintbrush & each flutter of her tired wings, she wondered more & more why she bothered. Her hours of precision & passion would all be undone in a matter of weeks as everything turned to the bright, lush greens of summer. Would the rainbows of spring really be missed? She asked herself the same question every year. And the birds & the bees always gave the same answer."

#photoadayApril - Your Reflection
After sitting out of the photo challenge last month, I’m back & doing something a smidge different thanks to a challenge from my boyfriend. I’ve been tasked with creating a little story to go with each photo, minimum one sentence. Here’s Day 1!

"She wasn’t sure exactly what she was looking for, except that it had to be a universe, a world, a life she could fall into."
